It's the problem no one can quite work out, why have Notts being doing so poorly in the one day version of the game this season? On paper the batting is excellent and with Hussey and Fleming in excellent form in championship cricket, and naturally agressive players you would expect them to excel in the shorter format. Already out of the Twenty20 cup and the C&G trophy, relegation in the totesport league looks likely aswell with Notts propping up the rest with just the single win. The bowling has done a job and has rarely been taken to pieces but the top order batting has been a shambles and there doesn't really seem to be an answer. Maybe it lies in the batting order itself or simply team selection. Either way it needs to be sorted. What team would you play? Heres mine:
Fleming (C)
Gallian
Warren/Singh (Added experience)
Hussey
Patel
Read (Wk)
Ealham
Franks (If he can learn how to bowl straight again!)
Swann
Sidebottom
Smith
With the seamer rotation policy still in place when everyone is fully fit
